The Schaumburg Boomers make the most of 10 hits in 11-6 victory over the Evansville Otters

The Schaumburg Boomers (49-37) and the Evansville Otters (40-45) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Schaumburg Boomers that eventually took advantage of them in an 11-6 win at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

Steve McQuail racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He singled in the second innings and homered in the fifth innings.

The Schaumburg Boomers relied on Alex Rivers to eat up innings en route to the win. Rivers allowed one earned run, nine hits and no walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Taylor Black had two extra-base hits for the Evansville Otters. He singled in the first inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and tripled in the ninth inning.

Matt Crim was charged with his ninth loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
