The Schaumburg Boomers (10-7) and the Gateway Grizzlies (7-10) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Schaumburg Boomers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-1 win at Boomers Stadium.

Cameron Roth picked up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. Roth pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and three walks while striking out one.

Tim Brown (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just eight innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
