The Lake Erie Crushers (46-36) and the Joliet Slammers (35-47) traded the lead five times on Friday, but the Lake Erie Crushers ended up on top with a 4-3 win over the Joliet Slammers.

The Lake Erie Crushers would not relinquish the lead as the Joliet Slammers were unable to weather a two-run eighth inning deficit.

The Joliet Slammers scored one run in the eighth on a wild pitch. Still, the Joliet Slammers couldn't draw even.

Andrew Davis racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lake Erie Crushers. He singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Paul Fagan allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out two over six innings of work.

Travis Risser improved to 5-4 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Erie Crushers. He allowed one run over 1 1/3 innings. Risser struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.
