Malloy's single gives the Florence Freedom walk-off win over the Lake Erie Crushers, 6-5

A walk-off single from John Malloy brought home the winning run for the Florence Freedom (23-18) in a 6-5 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers (20-21) at Home of the Florence Freedom on Sunday.

Malloy racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Florence Freedom. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Peter Fatse had two extra-base hits for the Florence Freedom. He tripled in the second and third innings and singled in the ninth inning.

The Lake Erie Crushers couldn't get anything going so long as Brennan Flick was on the hill. The Lake Erie Crushers managed just one hit off of Flick, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Jonathan Kountis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.

Fatse, Malloy and Eddie Rodriguez helped lead the Florence Freedom. They combined for seven hits and four RBIs.
