The Schaumburg Boomers' Hall comes through in the clutch, upends the Florence Freedom, 5-2

Gerard Hall brought home the winning run to give the Schaumburg Boomers (4-3) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Schaumburg Boomers hung on to beat the Florence Freedom (4-3) 5-2 on Friday.

After Jereme Milons doubled, Hall came to the plate with the score tied at one, and doubled, plating Milons.

Frank Pfister was solid at the plate for the Schaumburg Boomers. Pfister went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Cameron Roth picked up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. Roth allowed two earned runs, five hits and four walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Peter Fatse had two extra-base hits for the Florence Freedom. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Daniel DeSimone (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.

The Florence Freedom pushed one run across in the sixth inning to start the scoring. The Florence Freedom scored runs on an RBI single by Chris Curley.

The Schaumburg Boomers stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the sixth, scoring five runs on two doubles, a two-run home run by Nate Baumann, and an RBI triple by Pfister.
