Paulino helps the Walla Walla Sweets down the Bellingham Bells 4-1

Kris Paulino went 2-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Walla Walla Sweets (24-30) to a 4-1 victory over the Bellingham Bells (32-22) on Thursday at Joe Martin Field.

He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Hunter Virant picked up the win for the Walla Walla Sweets. Virant pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk while striking out four.

Kai Hatch went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Bellingham Bells. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the third, fifth, and ninth innings.

Randy Button ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
