The Wenatchee AppleSox hang on against the Kitsap BlueJackets, 8-6

The Kitsap BlueJackets (14-39) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Wenatchee AppleSox (36-17), and the Kitsap BlueJackets lost 8-6 to the Wenatchee AppleSox after falling behind by seven runs in the seventh inning.

The Kitsap BlueJackets scored on an RBI single by Frankie Torres and a three-run double by Francisco Tellez in the eighth inning and an RBI single by Scotty Burcham in the ninth inning. Still, the Kitsap BlueJackets couldn't draw even.

Ryan Drobny reached base two times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the seventh inning.

The Kitsap BlueJackets had no answer for Taylor Jones, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Kitsap BlueJackets managed just three hits off of the the Wenatchee AppleSox's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Torres was hot from the plate for the Kitsap BlueJackets. Torres went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs.

Stuart Fewel couldn't get it done on the hill for the Kitsap BlueJackets, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
