The Bend Elks (23-29) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Cowlitz Black Bears (25-27), and the Bend Elks lost 3-2 to the Cowlitz Black Bears after falling behind by three runs in the third inning.

The Bend Elks scored on a fielder's choice in the sixth inning and an RBI single by Tommy Pluschkell in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Bend Elks couldn't finish the comeback.

The Cowlitz Black Bears were led by Blake Lively's hitting. Lively went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the second, third, and sixth innings.

The Cowlitz Black Bears got the win thanks in large part to Mikey Murray's dominant, seven-strikeout performance. Murray allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks over seven innings.

Dillon Keene (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
