The Walla Walla Sweets make the most of 5 hits in 7-4 victory over the Kelowna Falcons

Both the Walla Walla Sweets (21-27) and the Kelowna Falcons (27-24) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Walla Walla Sweets that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-4 win at Borleske Stadium.

Kalani Brackenridge led the Walla Walla Sweets' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third and eighth innings.

Zach Brandon pitched lights out for the Walla Walla Sweets. The Kelowna Falcons managed just three hits off of Brandon, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out four during his six innings of work.

A bright spot for the Kelowna Falcons in the defeat was Preston Gray, who allowed only one run while striking out seven.

Boomer Hermes ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked six and struck out none.
