The Walla Walla Sweets (20-26) and the Bellingham Bells (28-18) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Walla Walla Sweets that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-3 win at Borleske Stadium.

The Walla Walla Sweets staved off the Bellingham Bells as the Bellingham Bells were unable to match the Walla Walla Sweets down the stretch.

The Bellingham Bells scored on an RBI single by Desmond Santos in the sixth inning and a two-run double by Kai Hatch in the eighth inning. Still, the Bellingham Bells couldn't catch the Walla Walla Sweets.

Joe Arlt picked up the win for the Walla Walla Sweets. Arlt pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, eight hits and one walk while striking out four.

Karl Myers ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
