The Bellevue make the most of 9 hits in 6-5 victory over the Edmonds

The Bellevue (28-21) and the Edmonds (36-8) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Bellevue capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 6-5 win at David Story Field.

Aaron Stroosma reached base three times. He singled in the second and third innings.

A bright spot for the Edmonds in the defeat was Torin Dooley, who allowed only two runs while striking out seven.

Ryan Budnick put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Edmonds. He doubled in the first and fifth innings.

Even though Nick Kiel allowed five runs over nine innings he still recorded the victory, his seventh of the season. Kiel struck out 10, walked three and gave up 13 hits.

Austin Lee (8-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
