The Skagit Valley drub the Olympic, 14-5

The Olympic (6-22) didn't stand a chance on Sunday, as the Skagit Valley (10-12) captured a blowout 14-5 win at Kitsap County Fairgrounds .

The Skagit Valley scored six runs in the fourth on a double by YUSUKE AKITOSHI, an RBI single by ALAC WONG, a sacrifice fly by COLTON KELLY, an RBI single by ZACH BEATTY, and a three-run single by SHANE SERVOSS.

BEATTY was hot from the plate for the Skagit Valley. BEATTY went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs.

The Skagit Valley relied on PETER BOVENKAMP to eat up innings en route to the win. BOVENKAMP allowed two earned runs, three hits and no walks while striking out two over eight innings of work.

The Skagit Valley had no answer for Dane Weiss, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Skagit Valley managed just two hits off of the the Olympic's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Ethan Syverson (2-6) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 10 runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
