The Richmond RiverRats make the most of 8 hits in 5-2 victory over the Butler Blue Sox

The Richmond RiverRats (13-16) and the Butler Blue Sox (15-14) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Richmond RiverRats that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-2 win at Pullman Park.

Trevor Kimm racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Matt Brankle picked up the win for the Richmond RiverRats. Brankle pitched nine innings and allowed two earned runs, 10 hits and two walks while striking out one.

Alex Jurich put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Butler Blue Sox. He doubled in the fourth innings and homered in the ninth inning.

Jon Anderson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Butler Blue Sox, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
