Markel's walk-off single send the Presstman Cardinals home winners, 8-7

A walk-off single from Zach Markel brought home the winning run for the Presstman Cardinals (4-5) in an 8-7 victory over the Bethesda Big Train in 10 innings at Joe Cannon Stadium on Saturday.

Markel got on base three times in the game for the Presstman Cardinals. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the ninth and tenth innings.

David Kimbrough racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Presstman Cardinals. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth and tenth innings.

Algenis Vargas got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Zach Morris was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 9 1/3 innings, walked seven and struck out 11.
