Nishimoto helps the Grand Prairie AirHogs down the Amarillo Sox 6-3

Yasutsugu Nishimoto went 2-2, helping the Grand Prairie AirHogs (2-7) to a 6-3 victory over the Amarillo Sox (4-6) on Saturday at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stad.

He tripled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.

Trey Ford racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Amarillo Sox. He homered in the fourth inning.

The Grand Prairie AirHogs couldn't get anything going as long as John Holdzkom was on the mound. The Grand Prairie AirHogs managed just one hit off of Holdzkom, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

James Adkins improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He allowed three runs over five innings. Adkins struck out three, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Ryan Mitchell was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked two and struck out three.
