The Newark Bears (4-4) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring five runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 13-2 win over the Quebec Capitales (6-6) at Bears_Eagles Riverfront Stadium.
Jamar Walton racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Newark Bears.
Mike Ness picked up the win for the Newark Bears. Ness allowed one earned run, three hits and five walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.
Jonathan Malo was hot from the plate for the Quebec Capitales. Malo went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.
Dustin Crenshaw (2-1) took the loss for the Quebec Capitales. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked none and struck out six.
