The NY NJ Comets make the most of 7 hits in 6-4 victory over the USSSA Pride

The NY NJ Comets (5-26) and the USSSA Pride (22-10) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the NY NJ Comets that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-4 win at Yogi Berra Stadium.

Angeline Quiocho had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. She doubled in the second and third innings.

Nikia Williams racked up two RBIs on one hit for the USSSA Pride. She homered in the fourth inning.

Olivia Galati recorded her fourth win of the year for the NY NJ Comets. She allowed four runs over seven innings. She struck out three, walked two and surrendered nine hits.

Chelsea Thomas couldn't get it done in the circle for the USSSA Pride, taking a loss. She lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.

The NY NJ Comets were sparked by Quiocho and Dorian Shaw, who teamed up for three hits and two RBIs.
