The Grand Lake Mariners make the most of 5 hits in 5-4 victory over the Licking County Settlers

Both the Grand Lake Mariners (12-13) and the Licking County Settlers (15-9) put runners aboard on Monday, but it was the Grand Lake Mariners that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-4 win at Don Edwards Field.

The Licking County Settlers' lineup had no answer for Alex Mercer. The Licking County Settlers managed just three hits off of the the Grand Lake Mariners' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Ryan Huber had a hot bat for the Licking County Settlers. Huber went 3-4 and scored three runs. He singled in the fourth innings.

Luke Mamer recorded his third win of the year for the Grand Lake Mariners. He allowed two runs over one inning. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Nick Land couldn't get it done on the bump for the Licking County Settlers, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
