Rappe's walk-off send the Springfield Sliders home winners, 3-2

A walk-off from Nolan Rappe brought home the winning run for the Springfield Sliders (11-47) in a 3-2 victory over the Quincy Gems in 10 innings at Robin Roberts Field on Monday.

Rappe led the Springfield Sliders' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the third inning.

Jordan Pesko pitched lights out for the Springfield Sliders. Pesko held the Quincy Gems (34-25) hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

Matthew Meier got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Meier struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.

Mike Wilson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed one run.
