Woods' walk-off two-run blast send the West Virginia Miners home winners, 4-2

A walk-off two-run home run from James Woods brought home the winning run for the West Virginia Miners (36-22) in a 4-2 victory over the Chillicothe Paints in 14 innings at Linda K. Epling Stadium on Friday.

Pat Kregeloh had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fourth inning.

Rolando Celis baffled the Chillicothe Paints (32-26), striking out eight batters. Celis allowed no earned runs, five hits and one walk over seven innings.

Woods improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the West Virginia Miners. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Zach Wolfe couldn't get it done on the hill for the Chillicothe Paints, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The West Virginia Miners were sparked by Kenny May and Kregeloh, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
