The Slippery Rock Sliders (23-29) and the Chillicothe Paints (28-24) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Slippery Rock Sliders capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 2-1 win at VA Memorial Stadium.

The Slippery Rock Sliders were led by a flawless day at the dish by Matthew Calhoun, who went 2-2 against the Chillicothe Paints' pitching. He singled in the first and fourth innings.

Zach Strecker picked up the win for the Slippery Rock Sliders. Strecker allowed one earned run, 11 hits and one walk while striking out five over 8 1/3 innings of work.
