The Chillicothe Paints' late runs seal 9-2 blowout over the Slippery Rock Sliders

A four-run seventh inning sealed a 9-2 win for the Chillicothe Paints (28-23) over the Slippery Rock Sliders (22-29) on Thursday at VA Memorial Stadium.

Zac Mathie racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Chillicothe Paints. He singled in the first and third innings, homered in the seventh inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.

Nick Jensen-Clagg picked up the win for the Chillicothe Paints. Jensen-Clagg allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings of work.

Dan Hurlimann went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

David Wilson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
