The West Virginia Miners take out the Richmond RiverRats with help from Aliviado, 5-3

Kaeo Aliviado went 2-3 as the West Virginia Miners (24-14) took home a 5-3 victory over the Richmond RiverRats (14-24) at Linda K. Epling Stadium on Tuesday.

He singled in the third and fifth innings.

The Richmond RiverRats' lineup had no answer for Rolando Celis. Celis held the Richmond RiverRats hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six.

Jacob Bosiokovic had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and sixth innings.

Ryan Perez improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the West Virginia Miners. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. Perez struck out four, walked three and gave up five hits.

Michael Chiaro couldn't get it done on the mound for the Richmond RiverRats, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
