Kregeloh helps the West Virginia Miners down the Richmond RiverRats 4-3

The West Virginia Miners (15-12) beat the Richmond RiverRats (12-15) 4-3 on Thursday at Linda K. Epling Stadium behind Pat Kregeloh, who went 1-4.

He tripled in the fifth inning.

Quinton Yocom picked up the win for the West Virginia Miners. Yocom pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs, five hits and three walks while striking out two.

Jordan Nieman did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Richmond RiverRats, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Luke McGee pitched lights out for the Richmond RiverRats. McGee held the West Virginia Miners hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Tyler Iago ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
