The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox take out the Hyannis Harbor Hawks with help from Downes, 2-0

Brandon Downes had two extra base hits as the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (20-22) took home a 2-0 victory over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (25-17) at McKeon Park on Sunday.

He doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the seventh inning, and homered in the ninth inning.

The Hyannis Harbor Hawks couldn't get anything going so long as Daniel Altavilla was on the hill. Altavilla held the Hyannis Harbor Hawks hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox couldn't get anything going as long as Colton Kibler was on the mound. The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox managed just two hits off of Kibler, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Graham Tebbit recorded his first win of the year for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. Tebbit struck out four, walked one and gave up two hits.

Andrew Istler couldn't get it done on the hill for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
