The Hyannis Harbor Hawks (22-14) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-1 to the Cotuit Kettleers (22-15) on Monday.
While the Hyannis Harbor Hawks led until the sixth inning, the Cotuit Kettleers worked their way back and took the lead on a two-run double by Logan Ratledge.
Eric Karch brought the heat against the Hyannis Harbor Hawks during his outing. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks managed just one hit off of the the Cotuit Kettleers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Austin Slater was solid at the plate for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. Slater went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.
Kyle Freeland ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out seven, and allowed three runs.
