Ford stars as the Cotuit Kettleers defeat the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, 5-0

Mike Ford hit two home runs to carry the Cotuit Kettleers (17-10) to a 5-0 win over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (15-9) at Lowell Park.

The Hyannis Harbor Hawks had no answer for Joel Seddon, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Seddon held the Hyannis Harbor Hawks hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two.

Austin Slater went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He singled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings.

Christian Cecilio improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Cotuit Kettleers. Cecilio struck out two, walked one and gave up six hits.

Patrick Andrews ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed five runs.

The Cotuit Kettleers were sparked by Ford and Nolan Clark, who teamed up for six hits and five RBIs.
