The Cotuit Kettleers drub the Wareham Gatemen, 9-2

The Cotuit Kettleers (8-4) pounded the Wareham Gatemen (2-10) on Tuesday 9-2 at Spillane Field.

The Cotuit Kettleers scored three runs in the seventh on an RBI single by Rhett Wiseman and a two-run single by Nolan Clark.

The Cotuit Kettleers were led by a flawless day at the dish by Kevin Bradley, who went 3-3 against the Wareham Gatemen's pitching. He singled in the second and third innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Ben Smith's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Cotuit Kettleers past the Wareham Gatemen. Smith allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk over six innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Wareham Gatemen's Trevor Podratz. Podratz went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Trey Killian (0-2) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
