Chatham Anglers vs Cotuit Kettleers: 6-4

The Chatham Anglers make the most of 11 hits in 6-4 victory over the Cotuit Kettleers

The Chatham Anglers (7-4) and the Cotuit Kettleers (7-4) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Chatham Anglers that eventually took advantage of them in a 6-4 win at Lowell Park.

Jimmy Pickens had two extra-base hits for the Chatham Anglers. He singled in the fourth inning, homered in the sixth inning, and doubled in the seventh inning.

Andrew McGee struck out eight, paving the way for a the Chatham Anglers win. McGee allowed one earned run on eight hits and no walks over seven innings.

The Cotuit Kettleers were led by Max Schrock's hitting. Schrock went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, and eighth innings.

Evan Beal ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

The Chatham Anglers were sparked by Pickens and Connor Joe, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
