The Lake Erie Crushers cruise past the Washington Wild Things, 11-1

The Washington Wild Things (35-43) didn't stand a chance on Thursday, as the Lake Erie Crushers (47-31) captured a blowout 11-1 win at All Pro Freight Stadium.

The Lake Erie Crushers scored five runs in the sixth on a wild pitch, an RBI single by Craig Hertler, and a three-run home run by Daniel Bowman.

Bowman racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Lake Erie Crushers.

Matt Smith racked up six strikeouts in the the Lake Erie Crushers win. Smith allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over seven innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Washington Wild Things' Mark Samuelson. Samuelson went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Shawn Blackwell (3-7) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
