The Lake Erie Crushers drub the Joliet Slammers, 15-5

The Joliet Slammers (31-44) didn't have a chance on Monday, as the Lake Erie Crushers (43-31) won in blowout fashion, 15-5 at Silver Cross Field.

The Lake Erie Crushers scored six runs in the third on an RBI single by Andrew Davis, a hit by pitch, and a home run by Juan Sanchez.

Sanchez racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Lake Erie Crushers.

Adam Beach's three strikeouts were enough to push the Lake Erie Crushers past the Joliet Slammers. Beach allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over five innings.

Lucas Goodgion was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Lake Erie Crushers batters and allowing three runs.

Ian Haley ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
