Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Schaumburg Boomers (30-22) outscored the Traverse City Beach Bums (31-20) 10-9.
The two teams combined for 22 hits in the game.
Brian McConkey did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Schaumburg Boomers, reaching base four times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the eighth inning.
Carlo Testa racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.
Dexter Price improved to 5-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. He allowed three runs over one inning. Price struck out one, walked two and gave up two hits.
Kyle Teague (1-2) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
