The Traverse City Beach Bums cruise past the Schaumburg Boomers, 10-2

The Schaumburg Boomers (20-15) had a tough outing on Tuesday, as the Traverse City Beach Bums (22-12) dominated in a 10-2 win at Wuerfel Park.

The Traverse City Beach Bums scored four runs in the fourth on a two-run double by Carlo Testa, an RBI single by Marcus Nidiffer, and a sacrifice fly by Ryan Still.

Sean Gusrang had two extra-base hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the fourth inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and homered in the seventh inning.

Chris Squires looked sharp on the mound. Squires held the Schaumburg Boomers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Scott Dunn recorded his seventh win of the year for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Cody Griebling ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

Testa, Taylor Wrenn, Zach Kometani and Gusrang helped lead the Traverse City Beach Bums. They combined for eight hits and six RBIs.
