Extra-inning thriller favors the Lake Erie Crushers, 3-1 winners over the Schaumburg Boomers

The Lake Erie Crushers (15-16) took home a marathon 3-1 victory over the Schaumburg Boomers (19-13) on Friday at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

With the score tied at one in the twelfth inning, Andrew Davis came to the plate and homered.

Ricardo Lizcano reached base three times. He doubled in the eighth inning and singled in the tenth inning.

Mickey Jannis put together a nice outing. Jannis held the Schaumburg Boomers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Chris Phelan was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Lake Erie Crushers batters and allowing one run.

Devon Pearson was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
