A walk-off double from Michael Hur brought home the winning run for the Rockford Aviators (7-25) in an 18-17 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers (16-17) in 13 innings at Aviator Stadium on Saturday.
Hur had two extra-base hits for the Rockford Aviators. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh and thirteenth innings.
Andrew Davis blasted two home runs for the Lake Erie Crushers. Davis went 2-4 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Davis homered in the second and ninth innings.
Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 35 runs and 38 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with 15 pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.
Nick Cicio got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He allowed three runs over two innings. Cicio struck out three, walked none and gave up four hits.
Dave Middendorf (5-2) took the loss for the Lake Erie Crushers. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
