The Southern Illinois Miners (9-6) and the Frontier Greys (6-9) passed the lead back and forth five times on Sunday at Rent One Park, Marion, IL, but in the end the Southern Illinois Miners pulled out a 6-2 win over the Frontier Greys.

Ken Gregory had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Justin Vasquez reached base four times. He doubled in the fifth inning.

Cody Hall recorded his first win of the year for the Southern Illinois Miners. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered four hits.

Graham Johnson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The Southern Illinois Miners were sparked by Gregory and Phil Butler, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.
