The Anchorage Glacier Pilots fall 8-1 at the hands of the Alaska Goldpanners

The Anchorage Glacier Pilots (12-14) didn't put up much of a fight on Saturday, as the Alaska Goldpanners (15-6) cruised to a blowout 8-1 win in seven innings at Growden Memorial Park.

A three-run double by David Fletcher helped the Alaska Goldpanners score three runs in the sixth. The Alaska Goldpanners had two hits in the inning.

David Edwards racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Alaska Goldpanners. He doubled in the first innings.

The Anchorage Glacier Pilots had no answer for Cody Moffett, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Anchorage Glacier Pilots managed just two hits off of Moffett, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 4 2/3 innings of work.

Brody Russell had two extra-base hits for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. He doubled in the third inning and tripled in the fifth inning.

Michael RoBards ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
