The Anchorage Glacier Pilots (10-11) failed to take advantage of great day from Michael RoBards on Saturday, losing 5-1 to the Alaska Goldpanners (10-5) in 10 innings at Mulcahy Field.
RoBards handled the Alaska Goldpanners' lineup with ease, racking up 10 strikeouts. RoBards allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk over seven innings.
The Anchorage Glacier Pilots jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Anchorage Glacier Pilots were up until the tenth inning, but the Alaska Goldpanners had other plans for the final outcome, taking the lead back on an RBI double by Alex Rubanowitz.
