The Matsu Miners (11-7) rolled over the Alaska Goldpanners 9-2 on Wednesday at Hermon Brothers Field after a six-run rally in the third inning.
Christin Stewart put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Matsu Miners. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the third and sixth innings.
The Matsu Miners relied on Gavin Glanz to eat up innings en route to the win. Glanz pitched six innings and allowed no earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out four.
David Edwards went a perfect 4-4 at the dish for the Alaska Goldpanners (7-5). He singled in the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.
Drew Mitrisin ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked two and struck out one.
