The Alaska Goldpanners make the most of 9 hits in 8-4 victory over the Anchorage Bucs

Both the Alaska Goldpanners (20-12) and the Anchorage Bucs (20-13) put runners aboard on Tuesday, but it was the Alaska Goldpanners that were able to take advantage, pulling out an 8-4 win at Growden Memorial Park.

Nolan Meadows racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Alaska Goldpanners. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Kevin Sprague brought the heat against the Anchorage Bucs during his outing. Sprague held the Anchorage Bucs hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Lawton Langford led the Anchorage Bucs' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second and seventh innings.

Nathan Bannister improved to 6-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Alaska Goldpanners. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Josh Michalec ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
