Paniagua helps the York Revolution down the Long Island Ducks 7-2

The York Revolution (9-7) beat the Long Island Ducks (3-12) 7-2 on Saturday at Sovereign Bank Stadium behind Salvador Paniagua, who collected three hits.

He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the second and fifth innings.

Matt Fox was able to keep it over the plate, allowing no walks. The York Revolution's pitcher pitched five innings, allowing no earned runs and five hits while striking out two.

The Long Island Ducks were led by Ray Navarrete's hitting. Navarrete went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the third, fifth, and eighth innings.

Bill Murphy ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
