The Bridgeport Bluefish survive the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs 3-2 thanks to Krum's late-game heroics

Austin Krum brought home the go-ahead run to give the Bridgeport Bluefish (7-4) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Bridgeport Bluefish hung on to beat the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (3-9) 3-2 on Tuesday.

Prentice Redman to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second on a single by Alexis Gomez.

It was a good day at the plate for the Bridgeport Bluefish's Krum. Krum went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

The Bridgeport Bluefish held off the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, as the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs were unable to overcome a two-run seventh inning deficit.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs scored one run in the eighth on an RBI single by Brian Barton. Still, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs couldn't catch the Bridgeport Bluefish.

TyRelle Harris got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over three innings. Harris struck out three, walked none and gave up three hits.

Daryl Thompson (0-2) took the loss for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
