The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs come from behind to beat the Somerset Patriots, 7-5

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (1-2) trailed by four in the sixth, but the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs recovered thanks to a key double in the ninth inning from Cyle Hankerd to pull out a 7-5 win over the Somerset Patriots (2-1) at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday.

With the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs trailing by one, Hankerd came to the plate and doubled, bringing home Brian Barton and Cesar Nicolas.

Hankerd racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He doubled in the ninth inning.

Joe Holden got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Jim Ed Warden got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Ed Warden struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Jon Hunton couldn't get it done on the mound for the Somerset Patriots, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
