Breton leads the Marthas Vineyard Sharks to 3-2 victory thanks to 6 strikeouts

A superb effort by Trevor Breton carried the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (6-5) to a 3-2 win over the Nashua Silver Knights on Sunday at Vineyard Baseball Park.

Breton held the Nashua Silver Knights (6-3) scoreless for seven innings. Breton struck out six and allowed one walk and three hits.

A walk-off three-run home run by Justin Meier gave the Marthas Vineyard Sharks the win.

Meier was solid at the plate for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. Meier went 0-1. He homered in the ninth inning.

Kyle Brenner improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He allowed two runs over two innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered four hits.

Cole Warren was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks were sparked by Dylan Tice and Nik Campero, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
