The Bethesda Big Train make the most of 7 hits in 5-4 victory over the Alexandria Aces

The Bethesda Big Train (30-13) and the Alexandria Aces (26-17) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Bethesda Big Train that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-4 win at Shirley Povich Field.

The fact that the Bethesda Big Train grouped all of their runs into the sixth inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Mike Miedzianowski racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Bethesda Big Train. He doubled in the sixth inning.

Trevor Charpie put together a nice outing. The Alexandria Aces managed just one hit off of the the Bethesda Big Train's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his two innings of work.

Ryan Mincher was solid at the plate for the Alexandria Aces. Mincher went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.

Tyler Fries was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
