The Corvallis Knights (3-1) beat the Wenatchee AppleSox (3-2) 6-2 on Friday at Paul Thomas Field at Wenatchee behind Marc Gallegos, who went 2-3.

Jeff Stephens racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Greg Mahle recorded his first win of the year for the Corvallis Knights. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered five hits.

James Kaprielian was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
