Jeff Stephens brought home the go-ahead run to give the Wenatchee AppleSox (2-1) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Wenatchee AppleSox hung on to beat the Bellingham Bells (1-2) 6-3 on Monday.Ryan Drobny hit into a fielder's choice to start the sixth. He then went from second to third on a single by Jordan Osborn. Finally, Stephens came to the plate with the score tied at two, and singled, scoring Drobny and Osborn.
Osborn racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and tripled in the seventh inning.
Beau Kerns struck out six hitters en route to the the Wenatchee AppleSox win. Kerns allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings.
Sean Hartnett (0-1) took the loss for the Bellingham Bells. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
