The Wareham Gatemen get on top of the Falmouth Commodores early but can't hang on in 4-2 loss

The Wareham Gatemen (17-23) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-2 to the Falmouth Commodores (20-20) on Saturday.

An RBI single by Alex Maldonado gave the Falmouth Commodores the lead in the seventh inning.

Drew Dosch racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Falmouth Commodores. He homered in the fourth inning.

The Falmouth Commodores got the win thanks in large part to Jonathan Dziedzic's dominant, seven-strikeout performance. Dziedzic allowed two earned runs, seven hits and three walks over seven innings.

A bright spot for the Wareham Gatemen in the defeat was Brad Kuntz, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.

Clay Chapman (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
