The Worcester Tornadoes (20-47) and the Rockland Boulders (35-31) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Worcester Tornadoes that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.

Tony Patane paced the Worcester Tornadoes at the plate. Patane went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.

Keith Brachold had a hot bat for the Rockland Boulders. Brachold went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

Walker McKinven improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Worcester Tornadoes. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Jonathan Velasquez (4-5) took the loss for the Rockland Boulders. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
