Y Ueno struck out eight batters to lift the Japan National Team (2-2) to a 2-1 win over the United States National Team at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in 10 innings.

Keilani Ricketts baffled the Japan National Team, striking out 10 batters. Ricketts allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks over 9 1/3 innings.

M Okubo helped the Japan National Team pull ahead for the duration in the tenth inning. H Sakamoto doubled to start the tenth. She then went from second to third on a groundout by Y Iwabuchi. Finally, Okubo came to the plate with the score tied at one, and singled, plating Sakamoto.

Jackie Traina (3-1) was the game's losing pitcher. She lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
